promise-of-the-rose:

[ Well then. Hi everyone. ]

OOC: Looks around a little shyly.. Hi. Sorry I’m a poopy friend!

mercuryh2ocrystal:

I decided to let go of Ami and Ace. It saddens me to do so, but with my recent lifestyle change (living with my boyfriend instead of alone) I just do not find myself on my computer as much. I will miss you all ( and will probably keep my blogs up so as to spy on you! And maybe do some independent RPing)

-Thanks so much for all the fun and memories.

Rachel.

mercuryh2ocrystal:

I wanted to apologize for being absent. I have not been ‘feeling it’ recently and am not sure that I will be continuing to RP. Since moving downtown I spend more time out on my bike and with my man and my brothers and less time on here. I do not think that is very fair. Therefore, in the next few days I’ll be making the final decision to leave SMRP for now at least.

Sorry I pooped on the threads I was currently involved in. I do feel really bad about it. I don’t want those that were RPing with me to think I wasn’t invested or interested in the threads. I had/have a lot of fun but I just don’t think it is fair for me to get on every few weeks (nor do I feel like it is fair for me to make RPing into a chore).

Update on final decision coming soon.

Thanks and sorry again. ;n;

Rachel

He nods. “It has been a long time. Would you like to catch up over a cup of tea or coffee?” Ace smiles sweetly.

Ace thought it was endearing that Fiore still managed to blush for him. When he said he didn’t want to talk about it, he let it go at that. He hoped that Fiore knew he could talk to him about anything at all, but he didn’t want to seem like he was pushing the topic. He put a hand through Fiore’s soft hair and kissed him lightly on his forehead. “Okay. A movie sounds great, as long as I’m allowed to distract you from it.” He winked, teasing of course. He could sit through a movie with his boyfriend without thinking about putting the moves on him. Really, he could.

He took a few steps past Fiore to look around. The apartment was completely different  from last time Ace had been there, but he was not surprised at the turn the decorations took. The whole place had a light floral, earthy scent to it that was rather nice. The plants looked taken care of and happy as living decoration. It was the paintings that caught Ace’s eye though. Fiore had really improved in his artwork since Ace had first gifted him that painting set. He stood in front of the one that was of him for a moment admiring the work that he himself never had a talent for. Then moved on to look at the one of the Shitennou and the one of a man that looked remarkably close to the Prince Endymion.

Not knowing that he might be bringing up the topic Fiore wanted to avoid, he asked if what he thought was true. “Your paintings are wonderful, Fiore. Are those of the Shitennou and Prince Endymion? Do you know them? Or am I imagining it because I think it looks like them?” He turned, a casual smile on his face, waiting for an answer.

“I expect no less,” Fiore commented when Ace teased about distracting him from the movie. He had come to understand that Ace was a very touchy person, and he had also come to realize that he didn’t mind one bit. Those affectionate touches were what kept him going when he hit rock bottom, so who was he to reject them? However… the Makaiju’s smile fell immediately as Ace touched on the subject that was the source of his depression. Fiore was still getting used to hearing people call his Mamouru-kun by the title “Prince Endymion.” It was hard to believe that the same little boy he knew would grow to be Prince of the Earth.

For a moment, Fiore was quiet and gazed across the room at the painting, a certain sadness washing over him. “You already know that I’m familiar with the Shitennou— you hit Jadeite over the head with a helmet for me, remember?” He chuckled softly before his breath caught, and tears built up in his eyes. ‘Don’t cry, idiot!’ He shook his head and decided not to answer the rest of the question. “They’re just paintings.” He shrugged and headed into the living room to dig out a movie. He had purchased several dozen in the last few months alone, and now had quite a collection.

“What kind of movie do you want to watch?”

Ace practically felt the small hitch in Fiore’s breath; he knew the man well and his powers of empathy helped as well. Shit, Ace frowned. “Oh yeah, I tried to forget about that,” Ace replied blandly. He really did try to forget about it, not only because of the uncomfortable circumstances leading up to it, but because he felt a little bad. He took a deep breath, he was here to help cheer Fiore up, not help him wallow in sadness.

“Let’s watch the fifth one from the left.” Ace called out cheerily. He had no idea what that movie would be, but it made the decision easy. He liked all sorts of movies so it really didn’t matter to him anyway. He brought the candy into the living room with him and opened up the bag of gummy bears, stealing and eating a green one. He put a hand out to stroke Fiore’s soft hair lightly as he walked past and then plopped himself onto the couch. Well, posed really. He knew exactly how to sit there as if he were a handsome model from a magazine, without looking like he did it on purpose. He smirked and ate another gummy bear.

“Hey back.” He returned the hug gratefully, placing a light kiss on Fiore’s cheek. “Of course, I’ll always be here when you call. I’m sorry it took a while, I stopped for a few things at the store.” He pulled out the box of chocolates as well as the colorful gummy bears out of his inside jacket pocket. “I got you these- sweets to help cheer you up, my sweet.” He smiled and winked at Fiore before taking off his jacket and piling it upon his helmet near the door. He then proceeded to slowly peel off his soft leather gloves and place them onto the pile.

“So, what troubles you my sweet? Or would you rather not talk about it?” He turned back to Fiore, pulling him in close to his own body with a hand on his hip. “I am sure that I can distract you if you want.” He smiled devilishly, just teasing Fiore. Mostly.

‘He brought me sweets?’ Ace never ceased to amaze Fiore— but their relationship confused him to no end. It seemed too… easy? With Mamouru and Jadeite there had been a chase, denial, and something to work towards. It made him feel… somewhat useless. Ace did nice things for him all the time, and all he ever did was ask for more— he consumed all the man’s attention and Fiore was fully aware that he tended to be… what most men considered “needy.” So he wondered how their relationship went so… smoothly. It seemed unnaturally perfect, especially in comparison to the movies he watches, and books he read.

“Thank you,” Fiore smiled lightly and blushed at the peck to his cheek— even though they had now gone “all the way” together, he flushed at every kiss, every affectionate gesture, every touch— it was an adjustment. “I—” The alien paused, bit his lower lip in thought, then shook his head. “I don’t really want to talk about it.” He gave a small smile, putting on his bravest face. Even if he didn’t understand many tings, he knew that the last thing that Ace would want to hear is that he still had feelings for someone else— someone who was about to get married, of all things. “I think I’d like a nice distraction,” mumbled the shorter man with a defeated sigh. “Maybe just… a movie? Or something… I’ve been sort of busy lately.”

Fiore gestured lazily around the house— which looked much different than the last time Ace had been. Now, it looked much more like a greenhouse… or an Art Gallery… or both. Ivy grew around the room and was pinned up in each corner— many potted plants with flowers grew around the house; it was warm and humid within the house, though not uncomfortably so. Many watercolor pantings were tacked to the wall here and there; most of them were flowers or abstract patterns; a few of them were of faceless people; but one was of Ace, another vaguely resembled three of the Shitennou in casual wear, and one by itself was a single red rose hanging below a larger portrait of a man. “We can set up in the living room,” Fiore offered with a soft yawn.

Ace thought it was endearing that Fiore still managed to blush for him. When he said he didn’t want to talk about it, he let it go at that. He hoped that Fiore knew he could talk to him about anything at all, but he didn’t want to seem like he was pushing the topic. Mina took Ace’s arm gently, she couldn’t do anything but look down at her feet. She tried to remind herself to to be careful.

When they were on their way, Minako rolled down the window and rested her head against the side of the door- letting strands of her hair whip out of the car and be held and thrashed by the wind- she loved watching her hair catch the glow of the streetlights, the reflections. “Oh” She sighed happily, “I’ve been working on my first single with Seiya-Kou from Three Lights… moving, umm… thinking about going to college. My parents are staying in America for the time being. How about yourself?”

Ace took the next turn and listened to Minako talk. “That’s really awesome, that you are getting into the idol life a little bit now. I know that you’ve been dreaming about that for a very long time.” College? Ace was not expecting that though. Not that Minako wasn’t smart enough or motivated enough for college. He just always pictured her splitting her time between her duties as Sailor V and being a super popular idol. “College? What are you thinking about going to college for, or do you know yet?” He was sure that she could attain whatever she set her mind to.

Ace pulled up to the restaurant and before answering, slid out of the car to open Minako’s door again. He let the valet hand him a little pink ticket for his car and lead Minako inside. The interior of the traditional Japanese restaurant was just well lit enough to see without spoiling the mood it had to offer. The host took Ace’s name and led them through the main dining room to a more enclosed and intimate section in the back. Ace slid his jacket off his shoulders and hung it on the coat hanger next to their booth. Getting settled, Ace answered Minako’s question about what he was up to recently. “Well, I just started filming a new movie. It is a romantic comedy, and I think it should be pretty good. I think my agent wants me to do an action film next. She seems to think I’ll gather in more fans that way.” He shrugged. Action films were fun, as long as he got to do all his own stunts.
